Joy. Overwhelm. Everything in between. So many emotions can accompany the path to parenthood. Whether you are just starting on this path or are in the thick of it, professional support can be a valuable resource.
I’m Tammara, and I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 20 years. My heart for maternal mental health grew out of years working in perinatal medical settings including high risk obstetrics offices and Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs). I have extensive experience working with women experiencing multiple stressors, postpartum depression and/or anxiety, role adjustments, and the heartache of pregnancy/infant loss. As a mother myself, I also personally understand the challenges and changes that can accompany the arrival of a child.
I approach therapy from a strengths perspective, knowing that every person has strengths on which to build for weathering life’s challenges. I use components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy, psychoeducation, and mindfulness; and I will collaborate with you to tailor our work to meet your unique needs and goals. I strive to offer a calm, safe, and nurturing environment for us to work together to help you regain your balance and find a sense of well-being in this life season.
I look forward to hearing your story. Welcome.
