The process to become a board approved licensed therapist takes years to complete!
Sally has successfully graduated with her master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she completed at least 600 hours in a clinical practicum that focused on diagnostic, prevention, and treatment services.
Sally has been approved by the state board to engage in supervised clinical experience toward the 3,000 hours that are required for her to be eligible to take the board exam in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Like many parents, my experiences with pregnancy and the transition into motherhood was fraught with unexpected challenges that left me feeling anxious and inadequate. Today, as I embark on a second career as a social worker, I am committed to supporting women and their families as they navigate these tremendously vulnerable times. Regardless of your unique circumstances, if you are experiencing feelings of anxiety or depression, I am committed to offering high-quality, supervised support.
I offer clinical support by cultivating a therapeutic relationship based on empathy and compassion. I utilize a strength-based and solution-focused approach that capitalizes on your existing strengths and encourages practical solutions. Finally, I use cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based techniques to help reduce anxiety and address symptoms.
If this approach resonates with you, please reach out! I look forward to working with you!
I accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and Tricare.
“I have only had one session, but my experience with you all - from responsiveness, to ease of scheduling, to simplicity of the paperwork process, to my very successful first appointment, has been outstanding. It far exceeds any other counseling I have ever sought.”
