The process to become a board approved licensed therapist takes years to complete!
Kaitlyn is in her final year of her graduate program and is completing the 600+ hour clinical practicum requirement that focuses on diagnostic, prevention, and treatment services.
Upon graduation, Kaitlyn will apply for approval by the state board to engage in supervised clinical experience toward the 3,000 hours that are required for her to be eligible to take the board exam. In the meantime, Kaitlyn is closely supervised by independently licensed therapists.
Hello! My name is Kaitlyn, and I am completing my master’s degree in Social Work at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
With all of the pressure that society places on hopeful, soon-to-be, and new parents, you may be searching for a nonjudgmental and affirming space to be heard. Look no further! I have years of experience working with individuals who are concerned about their mental wellness and/or have experienced trauma. I use a strengths-based perspective to help you identify both your resilience and the resources in your environment that will empower you to overcome any barriers you may face.
I look forward to working with you soon!
