Rates & Insurance


  • $150 per session





In Network means we are a preferred provider with your insurance company.  This allows your insurance to cover some, most, or all of your session costs.  Please contact our intake coordinator to verify that your insurance company covers psychotherapy services.

We currently accept the following insurance throughout Virginia:

  • CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Magellan Health
  • United Healthcare

We are in the process of being in network throughout Maryland and Washington, DC.

Not all of our therapists accept health insurance. Please check with our intake coordinator to make sure you are scheduling with a therapist who is in-network with your insurance if you will be utilizing your insurance benefits.



If we do not accept your health insurance and you wish to see one of our counselors as an out-of-network provider, we are glad to provide you with an itemized bill so that you can submit it directly to your insurance company for reimbursement.  You can find out if you have out-of-network benefits by calling your insurance company’s member services.  As an alternative, you can download the app, Reimbursify, to assist you with filing your reimbursement claim with your insurance plan.

We recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?


Private Pay

If you want to increase the privacy, confidentiality, and autonomy of your counseling experience, private pay is the best option for you. Private Pay has numerous advantages including: no mental health record necessary, no mental health diagnosis needed, no limits to the number or length of sessions from the insurance company.



We accept cash, check and all major credit cards as forms of payment. We also accept payment via PayPal.

Cancellation Policy

Your session time is especially reserved for you.  If you need to reschedule or are unable to attend a session, please make sure you call our office no later than 2pm the day before your appointment. Otherwise, you will be charged a $75 late rescheduling/cancellation fee.
