Let’s Tackle Anxiety Together

Let’s Tackle Anxiety Together

A little bit of fear or worry about our pregnancy or childbirth experience helps us feel safe.  For instance, if you feel unsafe in a specific situation then your fear releases adrenaline to keep you safe. Although worrying is uncomfortable, it’s also a natural and healthy emotion.  However, fear or worry that’s too intense has the potential to weigh us down and negatively impact the ability for us to enjoy our pregnancy or the time period after bringing baby home!

Participating in group therapy has been proven to effectively treat anxiety experienced by pregnant and postpartum mothers.

You’ll have an opportunity to meet and listen to other women experiencing similar feelings and situations.  You’ll receive support from others who also understand what you’re going through.  The group facilitator will teach practical strategies that you can use immediately.  You will feel less alone.

Our 6-week skills-based group will teach you strategies to overcome anxiety during and after pregnancy in a supportive environment.

What will you do?

  • Challenge and change negative thinking patterns
  • Practice mindfulness techniques
